“My Butt Has A Fever” is a song debuted by the Belcher kids at the school talent show that gets most of the runtime in before Mr. Frond comes to break up the jam.
Our Take
Give the Loren Bouchard-created franchise any extra money for anything, it’s probably gonna have a song in it. That’s the case in this new five-minute short for Bob’s Burgers entitled “My Butt Has A Fever” which really is more of a music video featuring the Belchers you know and love. The animation production leans more towards the movie than the show complete with the shadow effects and additional frames of animation. I’m not sure it’s worth sitting around on FXX in waiting for the short to premiere, but, if like The Simpsons, Disney wanted to get more shorts produced for Hulu or Disney+ or something, I’d be totally down. The franchise is equipped for special events just like this.
