OverviewAnne (voiced by Brenda Song) and her friends fight for their lives as the fate of both worlds hangs in the balance…Our TakeThis episode has a very unique story structure. Upon research, flashbacks at the beginning take place one day before the flashbacks shown in the episodes “Reunion” and “True Colors”. But so far, it looks like Anne has to face her biggest battle yet. We also get moments of character introspection as exemplified when the supporting character Marcy comes to realize that it was a dick-move to forcibly drag her friends into sharing her interests all the time which is a considerate thing to think about. But as an added bonus to the proceedings, every call-back from past episodes that was previously set up are getting proper payoffs here, including a twist that played with everyone’s expectations… Overall, the battle is far from over, as the Core is still out there, and the destruction of Amphibia is coming. Reportedly, this episode was aired as a made-for-TV movie which is said to be 48 minutes long, making it the longest episode of the whole show, taking up at least two half-hours in running time. So you know lots of plot and characters are culminating for the upcoming big finale next week!
