MTV Entertainment Announces Comedy Central Animation Slate For 2022/2023

On the back of the unsettling news that Jodie is now an animated film instead of a full series, MTV Entertainment has announced some new adult animation titles for it’s slate for 2022/2023. One big story, Tooning Out The News is moving from being a Paramount+ exclusive to that a Comedy Central series that will then stream next day on the aforementioned streamer. Whether or not the franchise plans to go back to it’s daily premiere schedule or stay with the weekly episode format is unknown at this juncture. Regardless, Tooning Out The News should pair well with The Daily Show.

Another big note, Andy Samberg’s fronting a new animated comedy called Digman with Lonely Island producing could hopefully be the thing that pairs with South Park when the show returns for it’s 26th season.

Synopses:

Digman! – An adult animated adventure comedy series set in a world where archaeologists are cooler than rock stars. Co-written by Andy Samberg and Neil Campbell. Lonely Island producing. Samberg is also providing the voice for the protagonist, Rip Digman.

Stephen Colbert Presents Tooning Out The News
