English Dub Review: Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These “A Single Fine Thread”
Overview:
The planet Fezzan is an autonomous dominion located in one of the only two safely navigable zones that connect the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. Every Fezzani head of state, or Landesherr, has protected the independence of the dominion by maintaining strong ties with its much more powerful neighbors. However, the current fifth Landesherr, Adrian Rubinsky, also known as the Black Fox of Fezzan, seems intent to change this long-standing policy.
Our Take:
I was a little disappointed in this episode because it felt like we were building up to a giant battle. I’m fairly certain we still are and this is just some background on other things happening and further implications coming from that battle but I was hoping to see it this week.
However, the Game of Thrones fan in me does really enjoy all the political intrigue going on. I love all the shadiness and backroom deals. We also got an assassination that happened! I’d heard this series described as the Game of Thrones anime before but now I am starting to see why. Think there is any chance of an anime version of Jon Snow showing up?
Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
