Our Take

For the first episode, much of the suspense and humor comes from an awkward encounter with a reality show crew of “Kitchen Ambush” which is hosted by TV personality Guy Grazer whose appearance and personality gives off intense Gordon Ramsey vibes. When they proceed to barge into their father’s restaurant while he’s away doing band stuff, it’s less than favorable on the Loud Kids end who are simply looking out for just looking out for their Dad’s business and are uncertain how Guy feels about the establishment itself with one of the funnier moments being the reveal that Lisa has access to a space laser capable of shooting down satellite’s.

As for the other one, much of the humor comes from a comedy of errors as the Loud kids try to clean up their house but accidentally throw out their furniture leading them to quest to get most of it back after The sleazy salesman “Flip” gets his hands on it under a different Identity.

Overall, both episodes were fun in their execution and were well-paced. The first half introduced another cooking-themed reality show within this show’s universe yet I wasn’t expecting a celebrity parody of sorts, while the other one was kinda funny with the running joke being that Lynn’s solution to stopping someone from running away mostly involved throwing shoes at people. But part of me saw a twist ending coming a mile away given something that’s easily spotted in the scenery…
