Overview“Kwarantined Krab”The Krusty Krab goes under an emergency quarantine, but no one knows who carries the mysterious illness.“There Will be Grease!”Mr. Krabs and Plankton must work together after discovering a well of miracle grease under their restaurants. Our TakeFor the first episode, much of the humor comes from the chain-reaction of paranoia between Ms. Puff, Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabb, and Pearl, as they’re quarantined from disease yet the synopsis itself slowly, makes it obvious near the end with a very ironic and hilariously fucked up ending. As for the other one, the title itself is somewhat a nod/reference to the movie “There Will be Blood” as the story is mostly focused on Mr. Krab and Plankton’s discovery of Oil coming from the ground which has forced the two to team up and as they proceed to sell it in bottles like Snake-Oil Salesman from the old west, but predictably it doesn’t last given what Oil sometimes does to a living creature outside of a Sponge of course.Overall, both were passable episodes in terms of the bizarre and borderline gross-out humor the show is often known for in different ways. The first is a jab at Quarantine scenarios and how they can get over the top with the wacky people sharing the same room. While the other felt like a social commentary on Snake-Oil Salesman who rush to sell you a product without thinking about the consequences, which is strangely relevant today when you hear about stores or companies who are often guilty of doing the same thing…
