English Dub Review: She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man “I Have Arrived!”

Overview

Mira, Solomon, and Luminaria must protect the kingdom from the hordes of monsters that have appeared within its borders.

Our Take

I’ve been going in with the expectations that this would be your casual standard isekai power fantasy and it was as fairly predictable as I imagined while also attempting to set itself apart with your by the numbers gender-bend/videogame-now-real Isekai.

Besides the borderline CG epic goblin siege and black dragon battle, it’s somewhat interesting story-wise. However, I think the studio didn’t feel confident enough or had the budget to top itself in other areas. At the very least, It wasn’t slice of life, but it had almost no stakes or clear goal, and the world building was quite dull when it wasn’t trying to force borderline female nudity and urination jokes.

Overall for a season finale, I didn’t think it’s anything spectacular, I was mildly entertained. But I’m annoyed that there’s no clear goal. It’s just purely middle of the road average. It remains to be seen if Season 2 even happens as there’s too many plot-threads that feel deeply unresolved and no major villain for Mira to worry about at this point…
