English Dub Review: She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man “Did… None of the Praise Come My Way?”

Overview

On her way back from the Primal Forest, Mira runs into Cyril, Emella, Flicker, and Zef, who are escorting caravans…

Our Take

Mira and the Ecarlate Carillon guild reunite yet again, and they’re the same as ever. Flicker is manic fangirl for Mira though. However the primary focus this time around is regarding some Monsters running amok and destroying caravans, and it isn’t getting any better with the spirit destruction from Chimera Clausen, so the guild plus Mira goes out to investigate and restore things to their original state.

And of that cargo, Mira encounters a stone tablet that temporarily transports Mira’s soul back in time, leading to a very dream-like sequence that feels like one hell of an info-dump which is even more interesting since we know that the “past” itself used to be a videogame, but Mira is given a cryptic sentence about “Devils being reborn into Angels” that raises more questions than answers…

Overall, with these new clues, Mira got, in combination with seeing a grim image of King Solomon’s kingdom is under attack by monsters. It’s the closest thing to something big happening even if there’s not exactly a clear end goal. The weird “piss jokes” are thankfully downplayed to at least one scene and with one episode left, this could lead to something big for the Season finale coming up.
