Our Take

The first episode takes a unique approach in its proceedings as much of the humor and conflict come from awkwardness and miscommunication. We do have a deep understanding of where Lily (Voiced by “Kiren”) is coming from as the plot progresses, but it begins to get meta within certain moments with Parker admitting to Angus about the show’s usual formula when it comes to handling a particular crisis and having a genuine misunderstanding of the whole situation which later somehow resolves itself.

As for the 2nd half, it’s your by-the-numbers “Take your pet to get a bath” episode. Where most of the proceedings are spent on having Angus & Parker’s unruly pet Walrus get a bath without outright saying “bath” out loud in response to a stench that progressively gets worse during it’s proceedings and escalates to the point that the whole damn town forms a lynch mob led by Terry of all people. that at least leads to a funny twist at the end.

Overall, both episodes were mildly entertaining in different ways. The first was mostly relatable for people who have never had a sleepover before in terms of its situational awkward humor and had its own unique lessons of what not to do. While other one works in terms of escalation in regards to how bad it progressively got due to what is best described as a “comedy of errors” which got even funnier by the twist ending…
