English Dub Review: Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon “Nanahoshi’s Mini Galaxy”

Overview:

Zero sets a trap in the garden of Nanahoshi, a demon who feeds on sadness. Kohaku, Hisui, and Setsuna assist the demon slayers in the north.

Our Take:

Zero seems to be up to something with a demon called Nanahoshi. I have no clue what she has planned but something tells me it won’t be any good for our heroes. There was a lot of setup in this episode that I think is going to make for a lot of fun over the next couple of weeks. Moroha is captured and facing old enemies of her family. Towa is traveling with Riku and Rion, while Setsuna is taking a demon slayer case with Hisui. You all know I love Hisui so her story is the most interesting to me.

I don’t think I have said much about Kirinmaru but man does he command every scene he’s in. Most of that is because of Crispin Freeman. The guy is just an amazing voice actor and I need him to be in more new things! His being in this is a good sign even though I think this is technically a reprisal.

There’s a lot of plot threads up in the air that could have some pretty awesome consequences depending. I am not all too interested in what Towa is doing at the moment but that could definitely change if she keeps running into Kirinmaru!
