The story follows an ancient Roman architect named Lucius, who is having trouble coming up with ideas. One day, he discovers a hidden tunnel underneath a spa that leads him to a modern Japanese bath house. Inspired by the innovations found there, he creates his own spa, Roma Thermae, bringing in the modern ideas to his time. The anime series is being adapted by NAZ in association with manga writer Mari Yamazaki who is providing the 2D animation direction with Tetsuya Tatamitani directing.

Netflix has tapped an all woman studio to adapt Brothers Grimm as a new anime series. All woman studio Clamp (handling character designs) is teaming up with WIT Studio (animation) for a modern adaptation of the classic tale.
