Disney+ UK Offers Up Mixed Messages On How It Feels About “Family Guy”

Family Guy is rumored to be part of a future Fornite update, but until then, Disney has launched their “Star sreaming service internationally including in the UK where the service featured a clip guest-starring Stewie on how to set up parental controls.

The irony is that the entire library of Family Guy episodes is made available with the exception of one…”Partial Terms of Endearment”. Ironically, it was UK’s BBC Three that premiered the episode even before the States which saw the episode actually being released as a DVD.

The episode was controversial in the fact that it had an ending sequence where it was confirmed had an abortion of a fetus that was being held for a surrogate couple who would later die in a car accident. EP Kevin Reilly not only stopped the airing of the season eight finale, but convinced Adult Swim to not air the episode as part of their syndication agreement which is slated to expire in Fall of 2021 anyway. The episode DID become part of the streaming library for Netflix and can actually be watched on TBS.com right now.

Still though, it’s ironic that Disney would go through the trouble of creating a clip featuring Stewie talking about how, with a streaming service, you can control what your family watches…only to not have “Partial Terms of Endearment” as part of the Family Guy offerings.

A new episode of Family Guy premieres this Sunday Night on FOX @ 930 pm ET, check your local listings.
