Netflix Previews Adult Animation Originals For January 2021
Netflix has released a teaser trailer for adult animation premieres coming in January 2021 and while one we knew about yesterday with the premiere announcement of Disenchantment’s new season, we now know that the Idhun Chronicles also has a new batch of episodes coming next month as well. Netflix has announced a January 15th start date for ten brand-new episodes of Disenchantment known as “Part 3” According to the streamer, “The excitement builds in Disenchantment Part 3 as Bean continues to grow into her power and own her destiny. As the fearless friends venture out to discover new worlds, they might just find there really is no place like home”.
In Disenchantment, viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where follows the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.
The series features the voice talents of Abbi Jacobson (“Bean”), Nat Faxon (“Elfo”) and Eric Andre (“Luci”), along with John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery. Animation is being done by Rough Draft Studios (Futurama).
The series is produced by The ULULU Company for Netflix, with Matt Groening and Josh Weinstein (The Simpsons, Futurama) serving as executive producers.
Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
