Rashida Jones & The Producers Of “Robot Chicken” Are A Bunch Of “Filthy Animals” In New Quibi Series

 

 

 

Meg Whitman announced that in it’s first week or so on the market that the Quibi streaming service has neared four million downloads at this time of writing. In the animation world, fans should be happy to know that there’s a bunch on the way, and now we can add one more from Stoopid Buddy Stoodios who already has two series in production for the short-form streaming service.

This one is called Filthy Animals and it sees Stoopid Buddy Stoodios teaming up with Rashida Jones (Duncanville) in an animated sci-fi comedy with Jones providing the voice for 12-year-old “Sunny Day” who has a best friend cat named “Cruz”.  Nikolai and Simon Haas, Carey O’Donnell and Johnny Smith are the creators and producers along with Stoopid Buddy Stoodios and Jones’ Le Train Train.

Our Take

Short-form has always been Stoopid Buddy Stoodios’ specialty so it’s no surprise that the producers of Robot Chicken are looking to build on that with Quibi. Rashida has had recent success as a voice actor with her most recent gig, Duncanville, getting a second season pickup from FOX
