Disney+: Streaming Service Displays Warnings For Easily Offended ; Omit’s “Stark Raving Dad”

While the technical issues for Disney+ were bound to happen, the parent company is doing right to fix it by saying “The consumer demand for Disney+ has exceeded our high expectations. We are pleased by this incredible response and are working to quickly resolve the current user issue.”

Fair. What’s not fair, Disney+ posting stupid warnings for classic Disney films to appease those who might be offended by movies that were made 70 years ago. Check it out:

Unreal. Thank Christ this company doesn’t have The Chappelle’s Show.

In related news, don’t expect to find The Simpsons episode “Stark Raving Dad” as part of the 30 seasons that are streaming exclusively on Disney+.

For those that don’t recall, “Stark Raving Dad” featured the voice of Michael Jackson in the talking parts of the episode while Kip Lennon did the singing parts. Jackson DID produce a song featuring Bart Simpson called “Do the Bartman” and wrote the song that was used in the “Stark Raving Dad” episode entitled “Happy Birthday, Lisa”. The song was used as part of an apology by Bart to Lisa after forgetting his little sister’s birthday. The episode re-aired on FOX shortly after Michael Jackson’s death.

Turns out, the producers are continuing their stance set forth after HBO’s airing of the Leaving Neverland documentary, which detailed allegations of sexual abuse by Michael Jackson against underage children, that is removing the episode from FXX/network TV airings, making the episode not available for resale via digital outlets, and more. Fortunately, you can still see the classic episode on the 3rd season DVD’s here.

PS When you skip intro on episodes of The Simpsons, it skips past couch gag as well.
