No, “One Piece” Is Not Returning To Toonami With 15th Season

Wait til you see how this thing went nuts.

A fake email has been sent to journalistic outlets that refuse to do any fact-checking claiming that the 15th season of One Piece is headed to Adult Swim this Summer.  None of that is happening and really it’s quite easy to dispute the piece.

For starters, if Adult Swim is going to air a series, Funimation wouldn’t be the ones to break the news. Also, this run of One Piece is actually available on home release already although Funimation re-categorized the Japanese Season 15 run as Season Nine. In Australia, these sets are known as “Collection 43”. So a broadcast premiere for an English dubbed season that has been out for a couple of years on DVD probably wouldn’t garner this much attention. In Funimation terms, the series is only on season 13 or 14 here in the United States.

In One Piece, Monkey D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in the way of his quest to become the king of all pirates. With a course charted for the treacherous waters of the Grand Line and beyond, this is one captain who’ll never give up until he’s claimed the greatest treasure on Earth: the Legendary One Piece! Fiendish Fishmen, merciless Marines, surly sea monsters, and devious Devil’s Fruit users all try to stop this unusual man with the body made of rubber, but as long as Luffy has his loyal friends along for the adventure – nothing can stand in the way of their dreams.

In other Funimation news, the Dallas-owned animation house was recently hit by some inclement weather and had to adjust the schedule for some of their English dubs. We send our well wishes to the producers and give you guys the real updated schedule below.
