Toonami Announces New “Total Immersion” Event

And we know when it’s coming.

Toonami’s Total Immersion Events are as part of the lexicon of the action-animated block’s history as anything else and with good reason. The adventures of TOM and Sara are so damn fun and that has remained true whether it was the “Countdown” or “Intruder” events, they are some of the best-produced series that the network puts together.

Officially announced last night during Toonami is a new chapter in the Total Immersion saga, this one called “The Forge” set to premiere Fall 2019 only on Adult Swim’s Toonami lineup. As of now, it’s not known if this is a sequel to the Countdown series or if this is a whole new deal, but color us excited at whatever may come. A teaser produced by Shane Dering has been released with the promise that the 2D production shown is just for the teaser and that the series proper will be in CG, however, VP Jason DeMarco promises “the scariest adventure yet” for our fabled heroes. The upcoming year 2019, we go to war!
