“The Gang’s All Here”: New Announced Collabo Between Byron Burton And Rob Paulsen

The Hollywood Reporter got an exclusive story from The Hollywood Reporter’s own contributor network, in this case, Byron Burton.

Turns out, Byron’s teaming up with Rob Paulsen to help produce and new adult animated series called The Gang’s All Here, and it centers on an animal cast of actors as they star in their own films and navigate the pitfalls of the entertainment industry.

The series will star not only Rob Paulsen (Pinky and the Brain) as a Warthog named “Patches”, but also Kevin Conroy (the only animated Batman that matters) as both a bear named “Francis” and a dog named “Barkley”, Cal Dodd (the only animated Wolverine that matters) as  a pig named Sargent Snout and yes a secondary character that is in fact a wolverine. Also joining the project is the now unretired Andrea Romano as a director and John Ottman as the musical composer.

Our Take

The series hasn’t been picked up yet and, in fact, is being pitched as we speak to hopefully anywhere other than The Hollywood Reporter given the online zine’s recent history in picking up shitty superhero animated shows.

The show’s premise seems heavily derived from BoJack Horseman, but it’s early, and this could change as time goes on and the series gets pitched to networks. The voice and production crew sound so good I almost don’t care.
