English Dub Review: Interviews with Monster Girls “The Dullahan Surpasses Space-Time”

By far the most interesting episode of Interviews with Monster Girls. I didn’t care about Tetsuo getting mad at Kyoko for knocking over his boxes, because I’d throw a fit with her too every once in a while, so much so that I’d punt her head through the uprights with her constant nagging.

The far more interesting piece of the episode featured Tetsuo and Kyoko visiting the bio teacher’s old colleague Souma who tries to use quantum physics to try and explain the connection between the dullahan’s head and her body. We really don’t come to a conclusion, but If we do it could be the answer in reconnecting the head to the body…but Tetsuo wonders if his student would like that or if she’s fine the way she is.

With two more episodes left in the English dub, I’m not really seeing anything that hopes for a resolution here. There doesn’t appear to be an end game, and most episodes are rather disinteresting. This episode I’m going to score higher because I happen to like quantum physics and Souma was an excellent character that brought a real “bounce” to the show that it has been lacking for quite some time now.
