What “The Simpsons” Did And Did NOT Predict About Super Bowl LI

Let’s clear a few things up.

What a game, huh? Super Bowl LI featured an ending for the ages, though I was a bit disappointed that Tom Brady didn’t stick that trophy up Roger Goodell’s ass as payback for the four-game suspension earlier in the NFL 2016/17 season.

Regardless, there were some fun facts about last night’s game. For starters, Lady Gaga’s half-time show featured a routine that was highly reminiscent of her popular guest appearance in the episode entitled “Lisa Goes Gaga”. You’ll notice the pop-singer’s routine in the episode and what actually happened in the Super Bowl were pretty close in terms of match:

Unfortunately, one round of meme popularity featured a doctored up image as inspired by The Simpsons episode entitled “The Town”. The episode featured the Springfield football team going up against the “Boston” team which featured guest appearances by the New England Patriots and a one-sided score. Someone doctored up the final score to make it look like The Simpsons called the end result of Super Bowl LI, but you can see the comparisons for yourself:

In any event, one GOOD bit about The Simpsons is that there’s an all-new episode airing this Sunday Night on FOX. Check your local listings.
