“The Simpsons” Used To Celebrate Two Big Events…The Daytona 500 and a Phish Tour
Two MAJOR events that I plan on not going to.
Are you excited about the Daytona 500 as I am? As in, totally disinterested to the point of no return? Welp, maybe this promo inspired by The Simpsons for the “Super Bowl of Races” can be something to help steer you in the right direction. I guess this is supposed to help us forget about the fact that instead of a brand-new episode of The Simpsons airing that Sunday, we have to sit through 500 miles of washing-machine advertising.
In an event that’s just as ridiculous, the band Phish will be taking part in a Summer 2017 tour that will be highlighted by a 13-date residency at Madison Square Garden. To help, some fan put together a Simpsons-inspired trailer to get people excited, which for me, doesn’t. Phish appeared as themselves in a 2002 episode of The Simpsons called “Weekend at Burnsie’s”.
An all-new episode of The Simpsons is airing this Sunday Night @ 8 pm ET/PT, check your local listings and good luck finding any FOX-made promos for it.
Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
