English Dub Review: ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. “The Swirling Smoke of Rumors In The Castle”

What…the hell…is going on?

This series reminds me of a popular South Park two-part episode entitled “Pandemic”. In it, Craig is the centerpiece of a storyline that involves South Park being invaded by hamsters and then the government being run by a hamster as well, all of whom are destroying by flutes and the power of an unknowing Craig who really wants nothing to do with the situation.

In Acca: 13, Jean is Craig. He’s a character at the center of something that everyone is talking about, but he’s the only one that hasn’t a fucking clue is going on and would rather just smoke his cigs and not get involved. The whole department is on him, and even the king’s crew I think is in on this deal thinking Jean is leading a coup, but Jean hasn’t a clue what’s going on here. This week’s episode is chockful of filler, and really the whole series would be a lot better off if they were up front and open about the amount of food consumed in a single episode. Seriously, I’ve never seen more food in a show in all my life than in Acca-13. Like, fans of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives would get a chub over this show because of the amount of cake and rolls that are consumed in just under a half an hour.

Something better pick up, because we are 1/4th the way through, and nothing’s compelling me in this show.
