Review: Squidbillies “Thanks-Taking”

Thanksgiving can’t really be corrupted, right? Right??

Spoilers Below

This season of Squidbillies has been interesting, to say the least. Don’t get me wrong, every season is interesting. But season 10 has been particularly interesting. We’ve witnessed cosmetics testing on the cephalopods, a history of squid slavery, The Sheriff attempting to find love, a mutant squash Halloween extravaganza; just to name a few. So by now, any fan of the show should know that the Turkey Day Squid special isn’t going to the have the same tone as a Peanuts’ Thanksgiving.

Bummed out that he has nobody to celebrate the holiday with, Rusty finds a lost dog scrounging around in some trash that he decides to take home; regardless of the fact that the dog, Billie, belongs to Glenn. Nevertheless, Rusty’s worst mistake is taking the dog home to meet Early.

I’m not going to say anything else about the plot of this episode. You should just watch it and figure out how it ends. I love me some dark humor, if done right, and I loved this episode. Am I going to Hell for giving this episode praise? Possibly, but I’ll see your pretty face there.
