Shorts Review: RWBY – Volume 4, World of Remnant 3.

The pre-game.

Qrow finally delves into the last of the four territories. Vacuo which is basically an Oasis turned wasteland where the Faunus (AKA “animal people”) Dwell…

I’m getting a strong sense that a lot of Faunus, Sun included, live in Vacuo. We’ve seen an example of resentment the Faunus have towards the Schnee Dust Company back when they were mining the area.

It kinda makes you wonder if the Schnee’s had a hand in ruining the oasis, And the only good thing to come out of that family are Winter and Weiss. (In vol.1, Blake argued with Weiss about how her Schnee Ancestors were terrible people but this video gives more context and perspective.)

while I am loving these WoR with Qrow, It’s not hard to figure out that he was talking about Ozpin at the end, the line “…and when the world needed him most, he vanished.” was kind’ve a dead giveaway after the Season 3 Finale. 😛

In more RWBY-related news, Vol.4 has released a small preview of team “RNJR” in action.

Overview.

So for a quick summary on the four Kingdoms:

Vale: Steady, safe, prosperous (or was before Vol.3)

Mistral: Pretty and nice looking, but has a dark side.

Atlas: Militaristic technophiles who live in the snow.

and Vacuo: Rudyard Kipling’s The Law of the Jungle

I have loved every single one of these world building WoR backstories for the kingdoms. Volume 4 is shaping up to be so much bigger than anything we’ve seen so far.

At the time of this post, We’re one day left before the big premiere of Vol.4. 🙂
