After taking a shower at school, Gumball accidentally ends up with a mysterious duffel bag. Inside the bag, Gumball and Darwin find a memory stick. They decide to check it out in order to figure out who owns the bag. Besides some crappy poems, which proves it’s Alan’s bag, they also find some pictures and a manifesto. Of course, they decide to read it.

It turns out that the manifesto is Alan’s step by step plan to become the school president. Once he becomes president, he will make all of the sad students go to happy camp. There they will learn how to be happy. If they don’t comply with happiness, they will be locked away.

Horrified at this prospect, Gumball and Darwin decide that they need to kill Alan before he becomes a dictator. Being the screw ups they are, every single one of their plans fail. Finally, the brothers confront Alan. Alan sets the brothers straight. His plan isn’t nefarious at all. Satisfied, the three friends laugh it off as Gumball and Darwin head out of the library. Before the pair really leave, Alan starts a new manifesto. Gumball comes back and pops the balloon man, nipping all of his evil plans in the bud.

What a timely episode. This couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the current U.S. election, could it? This show is usually so outrageous that it’s weird to see it referencing something real. At least Gumball and Darwin turned out to be good people that wanted to make sure the world didn’t turn to shit thanks to the crazy rantings of a lunatic dictator. If only that would happen in the real world.
