Review: Future-Worm “Deunited / Great Debates With The End Of Time I / The Forever Five”

Deunited and it feeeeeels so gooood!

Spoilers Below

Deunited

Fyootch decides to spend the day with Bug and let Danny spend the day with his Aunt Betsy, but when trouble by way of Dodos show up, Bug is nowhere to be found which means he’s gotta get Danny back and pronto. Unfortunately, the two aren’t really talking to each other due to a silly argument until…

Aunt Betsy reveals herself to having an animalistic buddy herself and convinces Danny to go save his friend from the Dodos. He does just that, and Fyootch promises to have his buddy’s back moving forward.

Great Debates With The End Of Time I

Danny and Fyootch have a minor disagreement, so they go to the End of Time for answers to help settle said disagreement. Danny loses…or does he?

The Forever Five

Meg gets her “Forever Five” invention denied at work, so Ennuisha brings her, Danny, and Fyootch to a world that desperately needs some high fives most notably Ennuisha. Unfortunately, the Forever Five machine is a disaster, and Meg can’t leave until she makes a device that makes people happy.

Turns out if you free people from imprisonment and teach them the power of love, that does a whole lot better than a Forever Five. With Megan’s discovery, she is granted her wish to have her and her family return back home.

Our Take

I LOVE Aunt Betsy, I hope her and her gorilla get a spin-off. What we did learn this half hour is that Fyootch and Danny have two types of arguments, those like these that are a bit more serious and those like “Great Debates” which are kind of quick and a little more pointless. I prefer the former because there’s more heart into it. “Deunited” delivers.

Ron Funches is a rad guest star, but we didn’t get THAT great of a debate. That said, still fun stuff to be had.

Meg is so great because she brings a dash of ‘Rick Smith’ to the game and I also love spending time with Mel Lynskey. Chelsea Peretti I think provided a thought-provoking take as Ennuisha when she was all depressed, but when she WASN’T, I think I would’ve preferred a more uplifting character.
