Review: Uncle Grandpa “Inventor Mentor”

We check in on a couple of Uncle Grandpa episodes and see what’s going down.

Spoilers Below

Uncle Grandpa heads to Italy to help a girl named Isabella become an inventor. UG decides to solicit the help of Leonardo Da Vinci whom doesn’t seem thrilled, but he’s here so he might as well make the best of it. The inventor decides to take off due to boredom, so Uncle Grandpa and Isabella have to go look for him. We eventually find Da Vinci in a big gondola and equipped with a pill that floods all of Italy leading him to flee Uncle Grandpa and Isabella.

Fortunately, Isabella builds a tool that allows Uncle Grandpa to get rid of all of the excess water and becomes a big seller among the populace. Uncle Grandpa sends Da Vinci back to where he came from.

Uncle Grandpa’s Puppet Show

Uncle Grandpa’s story hits too close to home. Actually, the puppet show is put on by a big monster that eats everyone.

Our Take

I was hoping to check in with Uncle Grandpa before the show wraps up it’s run on Cartoon Network. It’s a shame that this one’s going soon because it’s really funny, has some great jokes, and doesn’t take itself too seriously. The premise for this episode is actually what the show was originally pitched as, but it has since branched out quite a bit. Good stuff.
