Review: Wander Over Yonder “The Robomechabotatron / The Flower”

Smells like team spirit…

Spoilers Below

 “The Robomechabotatron

Imagine a REALLY hyped up mecha-bot battle ala Voltron only to get the rug pulled out from you because Wander is a big ol’ pain in the leg. That’s what happens here…and it sucks.

Our Take

Anyone expecting a big ol’ fight with the third to the last episode, move on to the second half of this week’s episode. The first part is a waste, fortunately we have…”The Flower”.

Score

The Flower”

In a MUCH more entertaining story. Wander is worried about the fact that there’s nothing left of the galaxy (HIS FAULT!) and Sylvia wants to cheer him up. She comes across a still living flower that Sylvia and Wander spend half the episode trying to find a suitable habitat for it. Dominator gets wind of the flower and tries to destroy it, but we find out she’s HIGHLY allergic to the pollen and as such, is no match for nature. Flowers begin regrowing on planets all over the galaxy, and now Sylvia and Wander have a weapon against Dominator.

Our Take

As awful as the first episode was tonight, “The Flower” became the champ. It unlocked the doors and finally setup the series finale in just under 12 minutes. No more Hater trying to woo Dominator, no more of Wander’s bull shit, now we have something to look forward to. A battle that spells the end of Wander Over Yonder.
