Reviews: Red vs Blue Season 14 Ep’s 1 and 2

Think Robot Chicken meets Red vs Blue.

If you are looking for any sane resolution from the cataclysmic events of Red vs Blue S13, you’re going to be sorely disappointed with the first two episodes of Red vs Blue’s 14th season. That said, if you take a step back and really process that this season is going to be a bunch of different takes on the classic machinima series, then the first two episodes become easier pills to swallow.

In “Room Zero”, imagine if Red vs Blue looked more like GI Joe or Transformers, and you have a great idea of what to expect complete with an action-packed twist-ending that should leave you scratching your head. In “From Stumbled Beginnings”, we go back to a time when Simmons and Grif were in basic training and their trainer Hammer meets an uncertain faith. Complete with glitchy arm animations, long-time fans of Red vs Blue will appreciate the season 1 look of the episode and laugh as Grif and Simmons kick off silly bro-adventures.
