Review: We Bare Bears “Cellie”

Pan-Pan’s tired of everyone using his cell, so he bans his brothers from using it. As a result, Grizz and Ice Bear get the latest in new phones and these things blow Pan-Pan’s phones out of the water. After a bit, Pan tries to upgrade, but it’s to a phone that’s one generation behind the other guys.
Panda gets annoyed by this, so he decides to steal his brothers’ phones while he’s asleep and bury them outside. Thanks to a new app, the phones are able to come up from underground and break into the house. A struggle ensues between Panda and the phones and all phones involved get smashed due to the carnage. Fortunately, the guys are able to trade in the parts, and get back Pan-Pan’s old phone.
Our Take
In a show about bears, a premise revolving around cell phones seems a bit too tacky for me. The lack of obsession with gadgets is one of the reasons I really like this show because everyone else is already obsessing enough over this type of shit and it’s annoying. Pan’s done quite a few stories revolving around techie stuff, I just think there’s too much sweetness here to have those kind of ideas.

Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
