Review: Regular Show “Marvolo the Wizard”

Get on the friggin’ horse, pal, I don’t think he’s kidding…

Spoilers Below

The park is hosting a renaissance fair despite still being under the dome. Benson is taking things VERY seriously, and orders everyone working for him to take today’s activities seriously or they will be canned. Alas, everyone has to actually act and dress like Medieval Times no matter what. Pops wakes up and discovers in horror that he may have gone back in time. Unaware of Benson’s rules, Pops begins running into the park employees, all of whom have different names and talk now. That said, Benson really needs Pops because Pops is scheduled to be ‘Marvolo the Wizard’ and do battle with a big dragon inside of a castle.

Pops is still confused as hell, and Benson being the king is going to the park manager’s head, but Pops eventually does make it over to do battle with the dragon and does just that. Pops kills the dragon, but ends up burning down the renaissance fair in hilarious fashion. When Pops wakes up, everyone’s back to normal.

Our Take

I loved it! Watching Pops struggle with whatever time period he’s in was absolutely hysterical. Benson was fantastic too, and really all of the park employees made their roles great. The epic dragon battle was top-notch, not in the usual Regular Show way, but to see Pops man up and slay the wretched beast was so great. Also, the castle burning down was my favorite part. Jolly good show.
