Review: Regular Show “Favorite Shirt”

After a long day’s work, Muscle Man decides to take a nap. This inspires Mordecai to steal Muscle Man’s shirt RIGHT off his back. Unfortunately, High Five gets a hold of the shirt and sends it to the wood chipper and shredding the shirt to pieces. We’re still in the dome, so one of the scientists tell Mordecai, Rigby, and Fives that in the lab there’s a 3-D printer that can knit new shirts after the source material. But, when a strand piece of Muscle Man’s hair shows up in the original source, a clone of Muscle Man is created and chases after the guys all through the park, but not before Rigby is able to take the new shirt.

Thanks to Rigby’s quick thinking, he’s able to ‘unwind’ the clone JUST as the real Muscle Man wakes up and finds out that someone touched his bow and arrow.

Our Take

So, it looks as though we will be living in the dome for a while. You know what’s odd? The park employees are able to leave whenever they damn well please. It’s not like they are trapped forever as seen in this week’s episode, rather they can traverse around town all they want. Not sure why they even bother at this park with it being a Bio-Dome. In fact, I think it kinda takes some good steam out of the story arc to begin with. Fortunately, a cloned-Muscle Man was pretty funny, though I was kinda hoping for a showdown between the clone and the real Muscle Man at the end. That wasn’t the case, but if you are a fan of the this type of trope that has become synonymous with a ton of other Regular Show original episodes, you should be set.
