Review: Mickey Mouse – “Entombed”

Mickey and Minnie journey into the Egyptian desert in search of antiquities and treasure. Inside the tomb, Minnie gets separated from Mickey, thanks to Mickey setting off a trap. She immediately finds the treasure room, absolutely filled to the brim with gold. As she traipses around the room looking for Mickey, she inadvertently sets off traps on his end. Mickey dodges snakes, axes, and a runaway chariot. Eventually, he also finds the treasure room. And a mummy. But it’s not a mummy, it’s just Minnie in mummy wraps. The actual mummy is behind her. The two mice run through the wall of the tomb, leaving nothing but their silhouettes behind.

There were only a few laughable moments in this short. For the most part, this was nothing more than the usual mummy movie tropes thrown into a couple of minutes. I’m sure the kids who aren’t familiar with mummy movies will like it but anyone who has seen these types of movies before will find it boring.
