Review: Wander Over Yonder “The Waste of Time”

Wander and Sylvia stop at an outer space rest stop to fill up on Orbbles, but Wander gets Time Orbbles instead of the regular ones which means the two can now fast forward and rewind time. This causes problems with Sylvia because she doesn’t want any part of time travel, so the two try their best at getting to the time just before Wander made the wrong purchase, but Wander ends up wasting most of the Time Orbbles on his past. Eventually, the two make it back to the station, but at a different point of time before Time Orbbles were even invented. As a result, the two have to wait it out 50 years until Time Orbbles are invented and their younger selves return. Fortunately, Wander is able to make sure his younger self makes the correct choice in Orbbles and everything goes back to normal.

Our Take

I feel like we were trying to take a page out of Family Guy’s “Road to Germany” episode in terms of visiting different possibilities that were caused by time rifts, and really, this premise has been done to death elsewhere, but I guess it was nice to see some flashbacks before the show’s series finale.
