Review: Cyanide and Happiness “Too Much History”

Spoilers Below

This kid Jack takes part in A Christmas Carol like journey through the past, present, and future so as to gain a new appreciation for being attentive in history class. The past ghost takes Jack to a time when segregation was a reality, and the present ghost takes him to an inner city school not funded. In the future, Jack sees himself, an even fatter fuck than he already is, buying all of the town’s turkeys for no other reason than to just do it. He dies a gruesome death, so when Jack wakes up he decides to make a better life for himself by helping others.

Our Take

It’s about time we get some new show in here, and the tenth episode of the show’s first season on Seeso is super funny. I much prefer the episodes that are a little less sketch and a little more cohesive in plot. The ghosts were hilarious, with by far the funniest being the ghost of the present who, quite frankly, was just brutal in his jokes about the under-served. I hope we’ve got more show on the way, because I don’t want this to end.
