Best Buy Exclusive Blu-Ray Review: Ted 2

Rare is it nowadays to get a home release that gets so many special features, you don’t even know where to start. Thus was the feeling I had when I picked up Ted 2 on Blu-Ray from Best Buy, plunked down the extra dollars for a mini-Ted doll, and got an additional 30 minutes of special features on top of the already stellar special features that would come on the original DVD release of Ted 2, and then it being a Blu-Ray even more so, and then being a Best Buy Blu-Ray getting even MORE special features.

As mentioned, the home release came with an Unrated version of Ted 2 which, I challenge, was quite a bit funnier than the theater version of the film with an additional 30 minutes of movie. Then you get around another 30 minutes of deleted scenes, and excellent featurettes including how the fantastic NY Comic Con scene (which hint, wasn’t filmed at NYC, a marvel in it of itself) is developed with a whole bunch of commentaries on everything.  If you buy only one home release all year, it’s this one. 2015 was a banner year when it comes to animated film geared towards adults and the Ted franchise helped reinvigorate the vertical. This Ted 2 home release, will hopefully reinvigorate this vertical.
