NYCC 2015: ‘Robot Chicken’ Throws Rager in Brooklyn, Premieres DC Comics Special III

RC Bowl

Robot Chicken kicked off its eighth season and New York Comic-Con 2015 in grand fashion last night, throwing a huge party at a bowling alley in Brooklyn, and providing all the essentials to the enthusiastic attendees.

Folks waiting in line (starting around 4:30pm or so) at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg were greeted with free drink tickets prior to the 6pm opening of the gates, and complimentary food was offered to everyone there, courtesy of KFC, to accompany free bowling. (Did I mention the admission tickets were free too?)

Oh yeah, and Seth Green, Breckin Meyer, and the other RC folks premiered the DC Comics Special III: Magical Friendship and it was funny as hell. It’s hard to give an accurate review when watching an episode in a crowd of excited fans who have all been pumped full of free food and a ton of booze, but I’d feel okay throwing around a number like 8.5, maybe even 9.

My only regret? Not getting a free Batman cape before they sold out. They had plenty of Superman capes, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before I don one of those.

Robot Chicken (along with the Venture Bros) will host NYCC panels later today at 2:30 & 4:30, respectively, which can be streamed on our site. I’ll be doing interviews as well, so be sure to check back later and follow me on Twitter.
