Bubble SG Review: Heartland Hubby ”Episode 9 – Mosbusters / Kidnapped!”

Watch out for the Mos Busters, because here they come! They’ll steal your flowerpot plates, pour cement down the drains and fog up your house with pesticide. You won’t want to meet them!

Annoyed with their respective wives, Teh Peng and Shuhaimi band together with Xiao Zhong to form the formidable Mos Busters. Their aim? To rid their estate of mosquitoes in order not to hit the red alert sign, the alert that goes out if an estate has 10 or more cases of dengue. But are they really doing it for the benefit of the estate?

Teh Peng is upset with Molly for being so besotted with a Korean TV star, while Shuhaimi is angry with Farah for not cooking his favourite chicken curry. Meanwhile, Xiao Zhong has had it with Winnie for bossing him around in the shop. Could that be the real reasons the guys of the show are acting out? Are they tryng to get the attention of the ladies?

Well, they did get their attention alright. The three ladies join forces to fight against the Mos Busters. They also decide to call themselves the Maidens of Purity. Yes, I’m not sure why either.

Anyway, the final reconciliations between the two couples are sweet, but how about Winnie and Xiao Zhong? Still the same old, same old. Winnie is never satisfied it seems.

Cathy, on the other hand, has a ‘hot’ date with George. Things don’t go as planned, to say the least!

This week’s episode wasn’t particularly funny or touching. They could have placed more emphasis on the antics between the Mos Busters and the Maidens  of Purity, or focused more on their reconciliation and laid it on really thick for more laughs! I’m a little disappointed, especially after the hilarious episode from the week before.
