Talk about bad timing. Just as it looked like we really didn’t have a ton of candidates for worst animated series of the year, Disney XD was nice enough to drop this beaut right on our laps. Have you guys seen this show? It’s like if Pac-Man and Shrek had procreated, this would be that concoction’s aborted fetus.

The premise follows Pac-Man as his parents come to town. His parents are spies, so no one can know they are here, however Cylindria and Spiral find out about it and confront Pac-Man about it. A party ensues, and Sir Cumference finds out that Pac’s parents are really clones developed by Lord Betrayus. Pac and crew get rid of them, and Pac thinks he may know where his real parents are.

What sucks the most is that Pac-Man was at one-time a beautiful franchise. There’s no reason why a TV show couldn’t be produced with the classic characters like Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and Pac-Man Jr. all of whom have had games inspired by them. Instead, Pac-Man is dating one of the ghosts which boggles my mind, and all of the characters look like shit. The voice-acting is god awful, the character designs seem like Despicable Me’s interns had a day off and this is what they did, and there really was no dialogue or script to speak of. Hell, even the villains Pac-Man knocks out in like 30 seconds!

It boggles my mind that there are TV shows like this out there, and a guy like LeSean Thomas is going to have to shop his master piece Cannon Busters hoping to get it picked up. It’s TV like this that causes war and increases the hunger rate.
