In the wake of his recent child molestation charges, actor Stephen Collins, famous for his role as the patriarch & pastor on “7th Heaven,” has been dropped from the cast of Ted 2.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the film’s reps confirmed that he had been fired. Additionally, Collins resigned from his position on the Screen Actors Guild’s National Board on Tuesday.

Collins’ role in Ted 2 was never officially announced, but rumors suggested his involvement. Recently, Collins answered fans’ tweeted questions about his part in the film by responding, “I’d tell you but @SethMacFarlane would have to kill me.”

In response, people have said, “Is this option still on the table?” and “Skip the middleman and kill yourself.”
