Review: Uncle Grandpa ‘Vacation’

Spoilers Below

Kids are literally knocking at Grandpa’s door to try and get his help on shit. The problem is Uncle G. is exhausted so Gus recommends the old man take a vacation. While on his break, Uncle Grandpa promises not to help anyone and you would think that would be easy because he travels 2000 miles to a deserted island featuring piles of hot dogs. As luck would have it, the beach is inhabited with a local culture that believes that Uncle Grandpa is some sort of savior. Uncle G. wants NOTHING to do with helping anyone because he’s on vacation, and to prove it he goes scuba diving only to stumble onto a cave with yet another dude looking to Grandpa to help save the island.

Uncle G. continues to not want to help the people living on this island, but he finds out that a volcano goes off and threatens the island’s population with the only resolution coming if Grandpa jumps into the volcano. Uncle Grandpa does just that as he saves the island, but as it turns out he finds a safe spot in the mountain featuring lava and PLENTY of places to party! Eventually, Uncle Grandpa heads back to the RV as a pile of ashes.

Tiger Talk

Flying Tiger cooks with Frankenstein in front of a live audience, which is simply terrifying.

I’ll be honest, I find it a little hard to believe that Uncle Grandpa would need a vacation because I can’t recall the last episode I’ve seen where he has helped any kids. At any rate, this week’s episode of Uncle Grandpa was hot, hot, hot and that wasn’t just because of the liquid hot magma.  It isn’t very often we get to see a stubborn Grandpa and even moreso, to the point where he was pretty much willing to kill himself to get people to quit annoying him. Furthermore, his vacation in the volcano had me in tears laughing, and the Tiger Talk short was a great chaser to wrap an otherwise hysterical episode of Uncle Grandpa.
