Family Guy Might Be Gearing Up for a Move to BBC Two

The Griffin Family will be evicted from their U.K. home on BBC Three next year with the announcement that the channel will shut down in the fall of 2015.

However, BBC Two may pick up the series and its average of 500,000 viewers, hoping to draw a younger audience to the network.

20th Century Fox has already refused to allow the show to be included on BBC iPlayer, due to concerns over piracy, because there be pirates on the interwebs.

If Family Guy indeed makes the jump from Three to Two, it will be following in the footsteps of Jack Whitehall’s comedy “Backchat,” Russell Howard’s “Good News,” Jim Miller’s “Talking Time,” and Will James’ “Jolly Chaps.”

Okay, I made those last two up.
