The other day, John and I were having a conversation about Legend of Korra. He was adamant about Nick wanting to burn off the series since they were airing two episodes a week. And here I am, trying to defend Nick, saying that this is one of maybe two shows that people give a shit about. Yeah, I know, silly me.

Both Michael DiMartino’s Facebook and  Bryan Konietzko‘s Tumblr had the picture above, with Di’Martino’s Facebook with the following message: “Hang tight, Korra fans. There is 1 new episode this Friday at 8, then the rest of the season will be available from various sites online. We’ll let you know when we have more details. Thanks!” As the Progressive commercials go, “These are trying times in the kingdom.” Luckily, DiMartino went on to say in a later post that Book 4 is definitely coming, and all of the pre-production is done and Studio Mir is animating.

The ratings have sucked this season, with a range of 1.5 million for the premiere, to 1.1 million for last week’s episodes, so it was a matter of time before Nick went Cartoon Network on Korra. Meaning, Nick was going to either move the show, or pull it from airing. I said this in my review of “In Harm’s Way,” that there is no possible way to give Korra help with the fucking terrible shows that lead into it. Last season was good, because you had shows like Korra premiering before it, like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In Witch Way sucks, as both a lead in to a show completely unlike it, and as a show period.

As of this morning, the new episodes will roll out weekly on Nick.com, the Nick app, Google Play, iTunes, Hulu, and more. As soon as we have more on Korra, you bet your ass you’ll have it here.
