Anchorman producers going ‘Flintstones?’

Other then my daily morning run of Cocoa Pebbles which currently features Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble (I refuse to purchase the boxes with John fucking Cena on the front, and if I have to choose, I actually prefer the Kyrie Irving boxes), not much is talked about The Flintstones. There was a time when Seth MacFarlane was going to bring back the animated series on FOX, but nothing came of it. But now, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay aka Gary Sanchez Productions are looking to change all that as they team up with Warner Bros. Animation to produce a new feature film!

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Will Ferrell and Adam McKay (Executive Producers) have tapped Chris Henchy (The Campaign) to develop an animated feature-length adaptation of The Flintstones that will hopefully pay homage to the very first prime-time animated sitcom which first aired in 1960.

No word yet on who would star in the film nor when a release date would happen. I just kind of hope we don’t get a CG rendition of The Flintstones and would much prefer the classic Hanna-Barbera look. Let us know what you think of this development in the comments below.
