Mickey Mouse Shorts Season Two gets a start date for Disney Channel

With the Fish Hooks ending this week, Wander Over Yonder starting tonight on Disney XD,  and Phineas and Ferb on production hiatus, Mickey’s the only animated series holding down the fort on Friday Nights for the Disney Channel. That said, that’s not exactly a bad thing because Season One of the Mickey Mouse shorts were spectacular and from the looks of it Season Two looks to continue the trend,

TV Guide was able to get a first look at the new season, with the article offering up a bunch of interesting synopses to help us whet our appetites.

Debuting Friday, April 11(9 p.m./8c), the short finds Mickey in San Francisco desperately trying to rescue Minnie who is stuck on a careening trolley car. And the catastrophes don’t stop there: Other new episodes include “Fire Escape” (April 25), where Mickey attempts to rescue Minnie from her burning apartment building, “Eau de Minnie” (May 23), in which Minnie’s new perfume intoxicates an entire city and “The Boiler Room” (scheduled for June), where Mickey must face a monster living in Minnie’s basement.

Mickey and his pals will also travel to Spain, Holland and India this season, plus they’ll take a trip to outer space!
