Shorts Review: Eddsworld: The Movie – “Barn Boys”

Puns. We all love that defeated laugh we all pull off after hearing one. The gasping, borderline crushing exhale when someone makes the all too familiar play on words can be the difference between livening the party and prematurely ending the night. So be careful when you’re trying to be funny because you may just end up face-down on the opposite side of a barn while your friends drive away and all because you used the word “udder” during the wrong joke. Just like Edd in the video.

The short itself is really fun to watch. Fun could have been a much more descriptive word if this short wasn’t roughly 11 seconds of actual animation and 38 seconds of credits and YouTube hoopla. It’s a basic rule that if the credits are longer than the show itself you’re missing the point. Expand on your ideas and maybe, just maybe, we can readdress your score at a later date. Until then…
