Book Review: Family Guy Annual 2014

So, is this UK import worth the $12.99 price point? Well, the jump has all of the answers.

This book is like your basic intro to Family Guy. We have introductions to all of the Griffins, as well as Joe, Quagmire, Mort, and the Pewterschmidts. Which is cool, for like the 3 people in the world who still haven’t heard of the show. The most fun part of this book is the quiz and the crossword puzzle, where it would take about 10 minutes per activity, and a pretty in depth knowledge of Family Guy to complete.

However, if this were 2012, this book would be ridiculously awesome. The big part of this book is the episode synopsis for season 11. So, it gives you a look into the episodes you missed, again, if you didn’t see it on Adult Swim 5 times already. At the end, there is a run down of each character’s best episodes, which is kind of cool. The episodes for some of them are out there, and they tend to re-use a lot of material from the same pool of episodes, but that’s what makes them good episodes.

To be honest, this book is a waste of money to anyone in America. Why would you want to get a book that focuses on last season? However, if you are one of the many viewers from the UK, then this is right up your alley. Unfortunately, the review is for us Americans.
