Moonbeam City gets pickup at Comedy Central!
We’ve been talking about this series for a while and Deadline has the exclusive. Comedy Central has officially picked up Moonbeam City for 10 episodes that is said to be an absurdist take on the gritty, sex-drenched crime dramas from the 1980s.
The voice cast sounds STELLAR featuring the likes of Rob Lowe as an undercover detective named Dazzle Novak who is said to be a handsome fellows that knows how to get his hands dirty. Dazzle’s Chief aka Pizzaz Miller will be voiced by Elisabeth Banks whom is said to be a big pain in the ass, plus rookie cop Rad Cunningham played by WILL FORTE!!!! With the world against him, Dazzle is thrust into a living nightmare: having to do actual police work.
The animation will be produced by Titmouse and is Created and executive produced by Scott Gairdner (Conan), executive produced by Olive Bridge Entertainment’s Will Gluck and Richard Schwartz and produced by Rob Lowe.
Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
