Comedy Central announces return date for ‘TripTank’

Here we are just now cleaning up after last night’s South Park, but Comedy Central has some more animated awesomeness on the way as the network just put out its Winter 2014 schedule and with that comes the official return date of TripTank:

Wednesday, April 2

TripTank (Series Premiere) – 10:30 p.m.
“TripTank” is a weekly, half-hour series showcasing a wide range of fast-paced, hard-hitting animated comedy shorts delivered in a variety of animation styles. The anthology-style series will weave together stand-alone shorts as well as recurring narrative pieces, created by a varied list of creators. Creative talent includes Bill Oakley, Wayne Brady, Bob Odenkirk, Curtis Armstrong, Nat Faxon,
Tom Kenny, Rachel Butera, Larry David, Zach Galafianakis, Kumail Nanjiani, Brett Gelman and
Kyle Kinane among many others.

For those that don’t know, TripTank just had a sneak peek episode last week on Comedy Central and it was well-received. The series is being produced by ShadowMachine Films the same company that is producing the new Netflix series coming out next year as well. We will post up more news as it comes.
