Adult Swim did maybe the best campaign ever for ‘Rick and Morty’

Rick and Morty may be this decade’s South Park, and don’t let anyone else besides us make you think different. However, Adult Swim’s press department deserves some sort of award for its marketing efforts on both the East and West Coasts because what they did for Rick and Morty may have been the coolest campaign to happen since maybe the Aqua Teen movie campaign in Boston all those years ago.

Those of you keeping warm on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles may have noticed this bad ass Rick and Morty bill board when driving by a couple weeks ago. Needless to say, this was one of the coolest billboards ever:

Not to be outdone, NYC saw a strange Craigslist ad featuring a spaceship for sale and well um…it wasn’t exactly in the best shape when seen in the Flatiron District, NYC:

Yep, that’s Morty sitting in a broken down space ship which I would have to imagine is all SORTS of fun for anyone driving past…also look at the smoke bellowing out! The one area I kind of didn’t like about the Rick and Morty campaign was when some outlets kept leaving co-creator Justin Roiland’s name off of the vanity when referring to who created the series and that’s just not cool. Everyone should know, this is definitely a co-production for Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon so just accept it.

In any case, check out our review of Rick and Morty’s pilot episode here and then check over on Adult Swim’s Facebook page where you can see a bunch more pics taken at the Spaceship Crash site.
